Cyberbullying

What is with cyberbullying these days? Why is such an emphasis put on this? I get that technology is everything now, but I think this is a stupid thing to talk about.
First of all, how does someone even get cyberbullied? There are so many different options to avoid it. You can close the program, block them, unfriend them, and so many more ways to prevent it.
Also, what is the big deal? They are words on a screen. It has become commonplace for people to "troll" one another. So why make people out to be victims?
Capital Punishment

I am all for capital punishment. There are cases in which a person NEEDS to be killed. Cases like rape, murder, torture, and a few others are worthy of capital punishment.
You can't tell me that a rapist has a "right to his life". If that person has the want to rape someone, then they should have no rights at all. Also, rapes can permanently damage or impact somebody's life. It disgusts me.
I think that murder should also have capital punishment. Why would you spare someone who took life? Their victim died, so why shouldn't they?
"Life is Short."

I hate this quote with a passion. Why do people say it? Personally, I think a life expectancy of 78 years (in the US) is a damn long time.
When I hear people say this, I just want to smack them. I am always tempted to ask what they have experienced that is longer than life, since it is so short. They sound so stupid.
I get that life is short in comparison to time itself, but that isn't usually the reference they are making. Many people say that as an excuse to do something stupid or unusual. So the context is completely wrong.
Suicide

I tend to go against this generation's view of suicide. Most people will say that it is a huge issue and that we need to be more "caring" of people's feelings. Often times, whoever caused the suicide is blamed for it.
Personally, I think it is their problem. Unless they are clinically diagnosed with depression or something of the sort, I believe suicide is stupid and pathetic. Suicide is mainly for people who can't handle being a human being because they aren't emotionally capable.
Suicide is also very selfish. People who commit suicide only think of themselves. I mean, when somebody kills themselves, it hurts all the people they associate with. That's messed up.
Time

Many people have this weird idea that time heals. People rely on time to solve their problems. If something bad happens, give it time. Right?
Wrong. Time doesn't heal anything. If you're going through a tough time, waiting it out won't do a thing. In fact, it can often make the situation worse.
You have to work at recovering. A conscious effort has to be put in to healing whatever wounds you may have. Whether it be homework, the loss of a loved one, or even getting in shape, time won't help you. An effort has to be present in order to make things better.
Time is indifferent.
